THINGS I CAN’T EXPLAIN
Experiences shape thought, challenge norms, create empathy, & transform.
I discover through research & use traditional methods and emerging technologies to transform passive observation into active participation & social impact .
This isn’t a portfolio.
It’s the place where the work stays honest–
AN ongoing record of what I create.

WHAT I DO
I unite immersive technologies, narrative, visual, and spatial design with social impact to ignite lasting change. With relentless creativity and matter-of-fact realism, I collaborate with people & communities to create immersive worlds that blur the boundaries between art, story, and interaction.
HOW I DO IT
By using augmented and mixed realities to layer digital narratives onto physical spaces & places, objects & artifacts, I can extend the ways audiences encounter objects, memories, & places. Digital realities can help translate complex histories, invisible narratives, and physicality into a spatial, interactive experience.
WHO AM I
Visual design, storytelling, and immersive technologies are my bread and butter and my rocket fuel. I am Tilt, but Tilt is more than just me. I work both alone and with people, communitiesm and organizations to design & create a practice that is participatory in nature and interrogates systems and ways of seeing.
Memories of a Modest Reality
x Folklore
A balance of forgotten buildings & modern folklore as a quiet resistance .
On a road-trip down the west coast I became inspired by the dreamy, bubble-gum coloured, coastal California landscape. Venturing into the interior, urban sprawl gave way to dying towns and abandoned buildings. And I wondered what was imprinted on these artifacts? Once home, I saw with new eyes the many main street storefronts sitting empty, & I wondered if my town would eventually become abandoned; a ghost town itself, & so I began documenting the buildings around me. Gradually, a style emerged. Minimalistic, almost pop-art, and post-impressionistic.
It is against this setting that a new project has been added, a digital augmented reality overlay of folkloric creations that speak to both the history & the future of these buildings and towns and act as a quiet resistance to their disappearance.
